MORE INFORMATION
Why Rhineeze is so effective
Rhineeze is the only product that delivers the right amount of saline, at the right pressure in a compact, safe, comfortable and easy to use unit. There are other devices available on the market, but they have flaws – uncomfortable to use; too expensive; prone to failure, leakage or lack sufficient pressure; too noisy and the majority are not portable.
The most common issue is having the correct pressure to reach the back of the nasal cavity and clean the mucosa without it being too uncomfortable. Rhineeze has been developed with this in mind and the unique pump action mechanism draws the correct amount of saline into the chamber and releases it at the right pressure to reach the back of the nasal cavity and clean the mucosa.
Rhineeze does not require any batteries and its portability allows it to be used daily whether at home, work or travelling - daily use is essential for those with a chronic condition. The design is compact and ergonomic, and its unique nasal tip is comfortable, prevents leakage and is interchangeable for the maintenance of hygiene.
How to use Rhineeze
Rhineeze is easy to use. Having prepared your own saline in the free filling bottle, fill the reservoir via the self-sealing valve located at the base of the reservoir. Pull the slide arm back slowly until you hear a ‘click’ and slide it back to its original closed position. The device is now ‘charged’ and ready to use. Insert the tip into nostril and press the actuation button to release the saline. The saline will flow through the nasal passage, down the back of the throat and exit via the mouth. Remove the tip from your nose and repeat the process (if necessary) with the second nostril. Click here for detailed instructions.
How often to use Rhineeze
Depending on the severity of your condition, Rhineeze should be used on a daily basis and those with a chronic condition, twice daily, morning and night.
How to look after your Rhineeze device
Expel any remaining saline in the device by cycling the slide and pushing the button to release any liquid. If the device is not going to be used for a few days, it is advisable to flush it out with cool boiled water to remove any salt solution that may dry out. The body of the device should be cleaned with warm water. Do not use harsh cleaning products and do not immerse the device. The tip can be cleaned by removing it from the device and running under warm water and patting dry with a clean paper towel.
How to make your own saline solution
Saline is simply a mixture of salt, bicarbonate of soda and water. To make your own, boil 1 pint of water and leave it to cool. Add 1 teaspoon of salt and half a teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda to the cooled water and stir well. Add the saline to the free filling bottle which has a nozzle designed to fit the self-sealing valve located at the base of the reservoir. Use at room temperature. It should be stored in a refrigerator in the filling bottle between uses and discarded after 48 hours.
